Bahrs restaurant is an historic icon in Highlands. It has one of the best views of the Shrewsbury River and the Sandy Hook bridge. The fresh seafood is fantastic, and the outdoor bar and fireplace can't be beat. There's also a quaint gift shop where visitors can buy sweatshirts and pajamas as well as postcards and books detailing the history of the area. The restaurant also features amazing nautical memorabilia, including an old dive dress, a gigantic lobster, and some fantastic pictures and fishing nets. And for people who enjoy, they have a great karaoke night. Let's not forget that Santa comes to visit from his boat on Christmas Eve. What's not to love? - Alison (Highlands, NJ)
